Indians fall to Everett in extra innings
EVERETT, Wash. — Spokane cranked out five runs in the sixth inning, but the visiting Indians couldn’t hold off a late Everett rally to tie the game, and eventually lost 7-6 in 10 innings on Sunday afternoon before 3,102 fans at Funko Field.
The Indians (28-23 overall, 6-7 second half) took a 5-2 lead in the sixth as Blaine Crim’s two-run single was followed by back-to-back doubles from Alexander Ovalles and Jonah McReynolds.
Everett (23-28, 5-8) tied the game in the seventh on Conner Hoover’s two-run single, and the game went into extra innings.
Spokane took the lead in the top of the 10th on Ovalles’ sacrifice fly, but the AquaSox scored two runs on an error and bases-loaded walk.
Both teams are off today for the Northwest League all-star break. The league’s all-stars will battle all-star players from the Pioneer League on Tuesday night in Boise.
