PETITIONS: What that clapping meant

Mary Souza is an embarrassment to Coeur d’Alene and to Idaho. Amazing she was ever elected when she apparently has no idea how the “petition” process works.

Hundreds of people walk many miles, knocking on doors collecting signatures. Does Ms. Souza imply that people donate hours of their time and blisters on their feet walking miles, carrying a petition and board that has not been certified? How insulting to assume those dedicated people are ignorant of the process.

Secondly, how rude that she thinks thousands of Idaho citizens open their doors and blindly sign their name to a document they know nothing about.

Lastly, when more than 180 people take the time to participate in a community meeting pertaining to one specific issue and show their disapproval of your comments when you asked by their thunderous clapping, do you not understand Ms. Souza, they see you lacking integrity?
