INTERNET: Down and definitely out
I would normally write a letter to the editor by email … and that would be true, if my internet actually worked. Unfortunately, it is only on every once in a while.
A few months ago our local cable company convinced me to pay more for faster service. And, perhaps, if it was actually on when I need it, it might be faster. But because they are obviously juggling my service with others — and presumably covering up the fact that they oversold the number of connections — my new speed is zero. I have spoken to three other people who allege that the local cable company misled them regarding pricing and service.
Unfortunately, because I never have internet service in the morning, my business has been unable to do its daily advertising. This loss of daily advertising on the internet is costing me even more than the $200 a month they charge for a failed service. I estimate the loss in sales at $2,000 a week. Of course, in today’s drive to deregulate everything, there may be no recourse. Tired of the lies.
