ALL-AMERICANS: Thanks for the assist

On behalf of the athletes, coaches and parents of Spokane Speed Academy (SSA), I would like to thank the North Idaho community for their support during our fundraising car wash July 13. The generous funds donated during this event enabled athletes from SSA, a Spokane track and field club, to compete in the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics in Sacramento.

Three of these athletes, Nate Burch, Jake Schnatter and Angelyca Chapman, are from the Coeur d’Alene area, and they, along with many of their teammates, earned the distinction of All American by placing in the top 8 in various events.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Northern States Wholesale, Hayden Discount Cinema and the Coeur d’Alene Press for their additional support of these athletes during the fundraiser.
