Susan Carol Turner, 58

Susan Turner passed away on Dec. 28, 2018.

Susan leaves behind her husband of 37 years, David Lyle Turner; her son, David Joseph Turner; grandsons, Patrick and William Turner; parents, Mary Lou and Karl Duncan; siblings, Melia, Marcia, Kathy, Tom and their families. Susan also leaves behind many dear friends and acquaintances, whom she loved and enjoyed spending time with.

Susan Turner was born Nov. 22, 1960, to Mary Lou and Karl Duncan, in Sandpoint, Idaho. She was the youngest of five siblings but was a fighter from the get-go, battling Turner syndrome her entire life, with a life expectancy of only 35.

Susan had many jobs, but most memorable was being newspaper carrier for both the Spokesman-Review and the Coeur d’Alene Press. She was also a disc jockey at a local radio station near Eastern Washington University, which led her to name her only son D.J.

She was very hard worker her entire life and enjoyed her Chihuahuas and pugs. Even though Susan had suffered from various medical issues, she always had a good attitude and found something to talk about.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date with all of her extended family.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
