Coeur d'Alene, Lake City battle to tie in tennis
- TENNIS
COEUR d’ALENE — Jack DuCoeur won in straight sets and the Lake City boys doubles swept the Vikings, but the city rivals finished in a 6-6 tie on Tuesday.
“All of the matches on the boys sides were good matches,” Lake City boys coach Bob Brunn said. “Jack really stepped up playing a tough match. (Coeur d’Alene’s) Noah (Cobb) and Justin (Jaworski) played really well in their matches as well.”
Coeur d’Alene swept in mixed doubles.
“Both (Coeur d’Alene No. 1 girls doubles) Kim (Gunnerson) and Maggie (Bloom) served some great games today,” Coeur d’Alene girls coach Laura Taylor said. “That’s what really put them over the top with the way they served today. Both of our mixed doubles played really well as well.”
