Cardinals top Mt. Hood in 9

GRESHAM, Ore. — Jori Kerr and Madi Mott hit solo home runs in the top of the ninth inning as North Idaho College beat Mt. Hood Community College 5-3 on Sunday.

Devinne Amesquita also homered, and Mott struck out 13 for NIC (20-8-1), which is scheduled to return to Northwest Athletic Conference play Friday with a doubleheader at Wenatchee Valley.
