The signs of summer are already showing at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community on Lake Pend Oreille, including the upcoming release of the brand-new Estuary Forest neighborhood.

True to its name, Estuary Forest rests near towering cedar and pine trees, as well as a winding private inlet. Views will incorporate a mix of open fields, mature trees and stunning panoramas of the surrounding mountains.

Residents will have access to the inlet for small, non-motorized vessels like kayaks, and the neighborhood connects to Dover Bay’s larger trail system that includes 9 acres of beach and park areas, as well as 9 miles of walking and biking trails.

Just as people are already making reservations for summer moorage at the newly expanded Dover Bay Marina, Estuary Forest is already drawing interest for those looking ahead to summer.

“In preparation to release the home sites we have staked the corners,” said John Sletager of Dover Bay Development. “You can get your reservation in to start your summer home build.”

Priority reservations are now available and include a wide spectrum of lot sizes — from 2/10th of an acre sites perfect for a cottage-style getaway, to upward of almost 2 acres for your dream custom home and property. Accessory shops or other exterior structures are allowed on a majority of the properties.

Buyers are free to bring in their own builders for their home or get connected with one of Dover Bay’s recommended area companies. You can build as soon as this summer, or you can hold onto the property as long as you like before beginning construction. Once construction begins, buyers have 18 months to complete work. Home sizes can range from 1,500 to 3,600 square feet.

Lot prices range from about $60,000 to $200,000, depending on the site.

The Dover Bay community is gearing up for the warm season in other ways. The Dish, a full-service restaurant at the Dover Bay Marina Village, opens for dinner seven-days-a-week beginning on April 18. The Marina Village includes a year-round outdoor heated swimming pool and spa, as well as a market, tennis courts and season recreation rentals. Now is the time to think about moorage on Lake Pend Oreille, with seasonal and short-term options available at the newly expanded Dover Bay Marina.

For those wanting to visit the area (either to gauge an interest to buy or simply enjoy a relaxing weekend), Dover Bay is currently offering a buy-two-nights-stay-a-third-night-free promotion for a few different luxurious vacation rental options. Rentals include beautiful lakefront bungalows, as well as spacious condos at the brand-new Sandcreek Lofts at the Sandpoint Marina, located just 3 miles from the Dover Bay Community in downtown Sandpoint near a variety of shops and restaurants. Call 208-263-5493 to make reservations or visit www.DoverBayBungalows.com for more information on rentals and availability.

The Dover Bay Waterfront Community also includes a huge variety of other living opportunities. For more information on Estuary Forest or any other neighborhood in the development, or to schedule a tour, contact John Sletager or Marie Garvey at 208-265-1597 or visit www.DoverBayIdaho.com.
