IDFG: Gory fish story

| April 12, 2019 1:00 AM

Wow! Can you believe HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars are going to be spent to kill off a fish species estimated in the thousands for a different fish species which according to the fisheries guru of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe has entered a certain creek at an average of four (yes four) fish a year (25 fish in six years)?

If this isn’t total insanity, I don’t know what is.

All of this will occur with the total support and blessing of Andy Dux and his gang of fisheries managers employed at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Don’t forget almost all of this will occur in the state-controlled waters of Heyburn State Park for now (if you notice, I said for now).

Hey anglers, if you think the Tribe spent $140,000 on a boat just for this, think again. Easily in the future the Tribe will expand this operation to Harrison Flats, the Harlow Point area, and then right up the Chain Lakes. Andy’s gang will just want a bigger piece of the pie for their support, or maybe not.

The IDFG’s hatred of the northern may not cost the Tribe a single dollar. It seems that Andy and his gang at the IDFG have an absolute power, but don’t forget absolute power absolutely corrupts. I have heard a rumor that in Boise, legislators are considering renaming the department to the Idaho Department of Game and Fish Killing, LLC. Please contact Andy Dux for fish killing price list and availability in your area.
