Take a Walk for Autism Awareness on April 13
COEUR d’ALENE — The Panhandle Autism Society (PAS) will present its ninth annual Walk for Autism Awareness in North Idaho at McEuen Park on April 13.
Proceeds from the family-friendly, half-mile walk will benefit PAS. Donations will benefit families and individuals in North Idaho whose lives are impacted by autism, a developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact.
Funds from last year's walk contributed to funding nearly $10,000 in local individual grants, continuing five social and support groups, helping parents attend a fall PAS conference and continuing the mission to train law enforcement and first-responders.
Activities at this year's walk will include raffles, a bounce house, team sign-making and awareness items for purchase. The biggest team will win a $50 gift card of its choice. Register by Sunday to ensure a T-shirt and family discount pricing options. Registration is $20 per person.
The Walk for Autism Awareness in North Idaho will go from 10 a.m. to noon with same-day registration starting at 9 a.m.
