THANKS: Vital lesson learned

Last week on the way home from the gym, I stopped at WinCo for a few needed items. Made my selections and entered Gwen’s checkstand. She checked me out, then using my debit card for payment, it failed four times. Forgetting I had changed my pin number, I apologized to Gwen, who was very gracious.

Leaving the store with no packages and returning to my pick-up, a young man tapped on my window, motioning to talk. He stated that he was in line with me in the store and noticed what had taken place. He said God had told him to pay it forward. I wasn’t going to argue with God!

We returned to the store, and he did exactly what God had told him to do. I expressed my appreciation and was taught an important lesson: The meaning of paying it forward.
