Cardinals sweep CC Spokane

SPOKANE — Once they rallied, the North Idaho College Cardinals couldn’t be stopped on Tuesday.

NIC, which trailed 7-2 in the fourth inning in the first game of a Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader with the Community Colleges of Spokane, rallied to beat the Sasquatch 12-9 in the opener, then took the second game 13-2 in five innings at Spokane Falls Community College.

NIC (13-7, 11-3 NWAC) will play host to Yakima Valley in a doubleheader Saturday at Post Falls High starting at 2 p.m.

Spokane is 5-10, 5-6.
