Cavanagh, a sophomore first baseman from Lake City High, finished with five hits and nine runs batted in for the Cardinals in Saturday’s 25-3 and 14-0 sweep of Blue Mountain in Northwest Athletic Conference softball play in Pendleton, Ore. In the opener, Cavanagh hit a grand slam in the fourth inning, then hit a solo shot in the second inning of the nightcap, driving in three runs in that game. For the season, Cavanagh is batting .458 with six home runs and 21 RBIs.
