HEARING: Kavanaugh lacks credibility

| September 30, 2018 1:00 AM

I watched the hearings Thursday. I found Dr. Ford totally believable. On the other hand, I found Judge Kavanaugh to be less than believable. It seemed to me he was putting on an act. He did admit to drinking, which was honest. But, he was not honest about being able to legally drink.

I also found it of great interest that the ABA, who had rated the judge very highly, has now asked for a delay and for the FBI to delve further into this matter.

Another thing that bothers me is that the judge does not appear to be very apolitical. It is my belief that the judicial branch of government should be as middle of the road as possible. This assures honest and unbiased decisions. I believe this was the intent of our country’s forefathers when they created a government with three branches to act as checks and balances. It has been long apparent that this is not what we currently have.

The Republican Party no longer exists. It is Trump’s party. The Republicans in Congress are nothing more than a bunch of bobbleheads. Trump says jump and they all say how high. Bipartisanship is almost impossible to find. Neither party has all the answers or is completely correct in their beliefs. The multi-party system we currently have should all be working together to come up with compromises that truly serve all 325 million Americans.

I urge you to think for yourself and act in the best interest of the people of America and Idaho.
