Carol Ann Farris, 80
Carol Ann Farris, 80, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away on Sept. 22, 2018, while at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, after a long struggle with dementia. She was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Carol graduated in 1956 from West High School in Salt Lake City. David and Carol were high school sweethearts since 1954. She married David Farris on March 27, 1959, in Salt Lake City. (They were married for 59 years). Carol spent her early years working for the Utah Air National Guard, as secretary to the general (1957-1961) until her first child was born. She took care of her children during their younger years. She returned to work from 1976 to 1991 for AMEX. Carol then worked at Stoddard Transfer, where she retired in 2007. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, working in the yard, playing piano and collecting Hummel figurines.
Carol is survived by her husband, David; children, Annette Bednar, Jim (Traci) Farris and Marianne (Tracy) Tennyson; grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Brazee, Tony Farris, Austin Bednar, Lauren Tennyson and Wyatt Tennyson; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Taft and Sandy Blankenship. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Aaron and Dorothy Aaron Price.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Yates Funeral Home Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St.. Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Final resting place will be Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
