Jean Reed, 94

Jean A. Reed, 94, of Hayden, Idaho, died Sept. 22, 2018, at The Village at Orchard Ridge. She was born on Dec. 29, 1924, in Ontario, Calif., to Harvey and Elsie Bunch.

Upon her birth the family returned to Crawford, Neb., where she grew up and attended school. Jean married Marvin Reed in 1943 and they moved to Nampa, Idaho, in 1949 with their two children Mike, 5 and Meredith, 4. Marvin followed construction, and Jean was a homemaker until they got to Coeur d’Alene in 1952 and they never moved again.

Jean retired from the county ACS and enjoyed many years fishing the area lakes with Marvin, traveling in the motorhome and snowmobiling to their mountain cabin.

Survivors include son, Mike Reed of Hayden, Idaho; daughter, Meredith Goodale of Dalton Gardens, Idaho; sister, Joni Teets of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Johnna Goodale, Brenda Green and Carrie Wilson and great-grandchildren, Alex and Kelsey Green and Emma and Parker Wilson, all of Coeur d’Alene.

Private family services were held with Yates Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
