COEUR d’ALENE — Kaysha Bailey stopped five shots for North Idaho College, which played to a 0-0 draw with the Columbia Basin Hawks of Pasco, Wash., in a Northwest Athletic Conference East Region match at Eisenwinter Field on Saturday.
“The game was a defensive battle, with neither team generating many good opportunities on goal,” NIC coach Dan Hogan said. “We just didn’t move the ball quick enough from the Hawks’ trapping-style defense. They were well organized defensively and work hard together as a team. We will need to improve our attack before we see them again.”
NIC (4-3-3, 4-1-1 NWAC), in second place in the East Region, will face the East Region-leading Community Colleges of Spokane (7-2-1, 5-0-0) at Spokane Falls Community College on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Columbia Basin is 4-1-3, 2-1-3.
First half — none. Second half — none.
