DEPLORABLES: Here we are

| September 21, 2018 1:00 AM

Local Republicans did the right thing getting rid of Commissioner Eberlein. His view of 95% of us would fall under the category of “Deplorables.” How else would you justify charging working families double the normal property tax because they didn’t sign a one-page form? Claiming the state requires “undue hardship” is clearly ambiguous enough to say that everyone qualifies.

So there goes $1,400 and, oh yeah, Idaho is one of few states that doesn’t offer public preschool. Believe me... that does not constitute undue hardship.

And, whaddya know, some CDA schools only offer 3-hour kindergarten while others offer full day. Do families in those areas pay more taxes? Arbitrary? Sound familiar?

Is anyone talking about overpasses for U.S. 95 while we all watch buildings go up like mushrooms? We live in a beautiful area, but the unchecked growth is killing it fast in the form of traffic and political corruption.

It’s time to put our representatives under a microscope and call them out when they disrespect the working class.
