Celebrate trashy eco-fashion at Junk2Funk
It’s time to reserve a spot on the runway for Junk2Funk, happening Oct. 13 in the space above the Eagles Lodge on Sherman Avenue in Coeur d’Alene.
All creatives are invited to participate in this historical, creative, eco-fashion show, in its 10th year.
The deadline to register for Junk2Funk, a fundraiser for Kootenai Environmental Alliance, is Sept. 15.
Participants are encouraged to start collecting trash so they can turn it into a fashionable creation.
All outfits must be made from at least 80 percent reused material that would otherwise be heading for the landfill or the recycle bin.
The goal of Junk2Funk is to bring awareness to the importance of environmental protection and raise funds for KEA, a nonprofit conservation group.
