SMELTER: A serious threat
OK, enough already.
Trump’s halfway through his term. Clinton lost. One can stack the blocks over and over and the outcome’s still the same.
Trump won. Love him or hate him, he still holds the office. Perhaps now everyone should turn their anger toward other things, like the smelter that threatens not only our air but our water, wildlife, fish and our way of life in North Idaho.
The state of Washington, as well as Canada, couldn’t care less about Idaho. It’s up to us to take a real stand and fight — fight like our lives depend on it, because in fact they do. Clean water, clean air — our future depends on it, as do our children and their children.
I have seen what big companies can do to the land, the rivers and ocean. In Oregon and Texas, it’s horrible. We don’t need this here. We don’t need to sell out our state, our homes to big money, nor do we need to allow other states to do the same.
