ANNIVERSARIES

Jim and Vicki Crowley

50th Anniversary

Jim and Vicki Crowley celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Married Sept. 14, 1968, in Coeur d’Alene. They have been blessed with six children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Their life together has included raising a family, along with numerous pets.

They built a home together in Cougar Gulch, while they owned and operated Panhandle Distributors up until they retired and sold in 2000. They enjoyed many summers at their home on Bead Lake in Newport, Wash., along with travels in their RV, camping, four-wheeling, canoeing and kayaking around the Northwest. Many fond memories were formed together with family and friends on Priest Lake and the Coeur d’Alene River.

Jim and Vicki enjoyed many winters at their home in San Felipe, Mexico. Currently, they reside in their home on the St. Joe River in St. Maries, while wintering in Yuma, Ariz.

A family gathering to celebrate their life together will be held at their St. Joe residence this month.

Bea and John ‘Bud’ Degnan

75th Anniversary

Bea and Bud were childhood sweethearts and married in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterbury, Conn., on Sept. 16, 1943. Over the course of their marriage, they moved to Cheshire, Conn.; Bethel Park, Pa.; Liverpool, N.Y.; Riverside, Calif.; Palm Desert, Calif.; Apple Valley, Calif.; and Post Falls.

Now, 75 years later, they celebrate their 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary at The Garden Plaza in Post Falls with family and friends. On hand for the festivities were daughter and son-in-law Laura and Matt Whitehead of Hayden; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Wendy Degnan of Granger, Ind.; granddaughters Kylie and Lindsey Degnan of Denver, Colo.; niece Cyndi Lompert of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; niece Lynn Lowther of New Haven, Conn.; nephew Jim Esposito and his wife, Sue of Mansfield Center, Conn.; longtime friends Dotti and Jim Hughes of Seattle; and many, many friends from Garden Plaza.

Bea and Bud met when Bea was 1 and Bud was 3. Their sisters were friends and took the kids to the playground in the 1920s. They lost touch growing up, but met again in their teens at a high school dance. They discovered that they had the same birthday, two years apart, and had first met each other as toddlers. Falling in love, they vowed to love each other forever, and have done just so! From childhood sweethearts to loving seniors, they are the same beautiful couple that they were on their wedding day. Congratulations on 75 amazing years!
