NIC goes 2-1 on first day at Longview

LONGVIEW, Wash. — The North Idaho College volleyball team went 2-1 on the first day of the Lower Columbia College tournament on Friday.

NIC lost to Pierce 25-20, 25-15, then beat Olympic 25-11, 25-14 and Umpqua 25-9, 25-20.

No stats were available from the matches.

“We had a rough start this morning,” NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. “We weren’t able to get into a rhythm and settle in.”

NIC concludes tournament play today at 8 a.m., then returns to East Region play on Wednesday at Wenatchee Valley Community College.
