Custer named distinguished honor graduate

U.S. Navy photo journalist Nikita Michelle Custer, a Coeur d’Alene native and 2011 Lake City High School graduate, was recognized as the distinguished honor graduate upon completion of the Basic Mass Communication Specialist Course at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on Aug. 1.

The award is presented to the student who completes the BMCSC Course with the highest grade point average.

Custer is the daughter of Leslie Custer Meyer.
