Frank LeRoy Kaiser Sr., 89

Frank LeRoy Kaiser Sr., age 89, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 6, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene. He was one of eight children, and was born to Frank Kaiser and Molly Kaiser (Winter), on Sept. 4, 1929, in Weatherford, Okla. He grew up in Oklahoma and in and around Billings, Mont., where he graduated high school.

Frank enlisted and served in the Army during the Korean War, from 1951 to 1952. After being honorably discharged he relocated to Kansas City, Mo., and started working for the United States Post Office in 1953. There he met his wife, Hazel Florence Tilson, and they were married on June 2, 1956. He had one son, Frank LeRoy Kaiser Jr., born June 20, 1957. He lived in the Kansas City area until 2014, before moving to Coeur d’Alene to be with his family after the death of his wife. He lived there for the remainder of his life.

Frank enjoyed square dancing, country and classical music, traveling and reading. He was a loving, caring person to his friends, and a devoted family man. He enjoyed his church family at Steadfast Church in Post Falls, Idaho. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Frank LeRoy (“Lee”) Kaiser Jr. and his wife Lorna Jo Casey-Kaiser, of Coeur d’Alene; three grandchildren, Dorian Casey Kaiser of Coeur d’Alene, Karissa Lee Kaiser of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Miracle Rose Kaiser of Coeur d’Alene; and two siblings; sister, Esther Jacobson (Kaiser) and brother, Leonard Kaiser.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at Steadfast Church, 3555 E. 12th St., Post Falls, Idaho.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
