Empower, celebrate women in business tonight at North Idaho College

COEUR d’ALENE — Female and male business leaders are invited to the Women's Entrepreneurship Day Idaho conference on the North Idaho College campus this evening.

The conference is being held for women entrepreneurs, business owners, founders, executives, policy-makers and change agents. It will serve as a resource for tools, support, ideas, connections and practical skills for growing businesses, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurial efforts.

The keynote speaker is Rachelle Strawther, director of leadership training and development for Gonzaga University’s School of Leadership Studies, who will speak on "The Power of Shame." Strawther designs and leads executive leadership programs on topics such as emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, innovation and interpersonal communication.

Discussion panels include "Scale Your Business to New Heights" and "Does Entrepreneurship Create the Independence You Want?"

The 2018 Women's Entrepreneurship Day event will be held in conjunction with Women's Entrepreneurship Day Headquarters at the United Nations and 333 ambassadors around the globe in 144 countries.

The Coeur d'Alene conference will take place at 5:30 p.m. in NIC's Schuler Auditorium, 1000 W. Garden Ave. Tickets can be purchased at www.womensdayidaho.org and range from $25 to $50.
