Community Opportunity Grant applications being accepted

The city of Coeur d’Alene is inviting competitive grant proposals for projects that benefit low-to-moderate income people or neighborhoods, and/or promote job creation/economic development. Any individuals, profit or nonprofit organizations, business, or governmental agencies may apply for city of Coeur d’Alene Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds. Applications may be submitted for one and two plan year period(s) (Plan Year 2018 and Plan Year 2019) for independent programs/projects.

Funding for the city’s CDBG Entitlement Program is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), (reference 24 CFR Part 570). Applicants must comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. This grant cycle has $96,798.60 in available funding, with a minimum project request mandate of $20,000. There are no funds available in this grant cycle for public service projects. An educational workshop will be held on Dec. 3, 2018, from noon-1 p.m. at City Hall located at 710 E. Mullan Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. Technical assistance and one-on-one grant application support is available.
