Camryn Wendlandt

Wendlandt, a junior forward from Lake City High, was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region team, announced by the organization. Wendlant started 23 of 26 games for the Bears (20-6) this season, scoring 23 points (10 goals, 1 assist) on 30 shots on goal. During the season, Wendlandt tallied five game-winning goals.

Kelcie Hedge

Santa Clara soccer

Hedge, a junior midfielder from Post Falls High, was named one of 15 semifinalists for the Mac Hermann Trophy, which is voted on by Division I coaches. Hedge, who was named to the first team All-West Region, helped lead Santa Clara to its most wins (17) since 2005, most nonconference (9) and regular season wins (16) since the 2001 national championship season. “Kelcie Hedge was an unbelievable force for us this year,” Santa Clara coach Jerry Smith said. “What I appreciated most about what she did was the behind the scenes things. Obviously she could score goals but she impacted the game off the ball, she impacted the game defensively, and she impacted our culture in training every day. The last time we had that was Julie (Johnston) Ertz who has continued to have success and I’m sure Kelcie will as well.” In addition, Hedge was named an honorable mention to the West Coast Conference All-Academic team with a 3.39 GPA and is majoring in communication.
