EDITORAL: Agree, however…

I agree with your editorial of Nov. 18 to a point. We should probably tone down our rhetoric, but how is that possible when people like Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, Eric Holder, etc., encourage people to be uncivil?

Maxine Waters started calling for Donald Trump’s impeachment before he ever took office. Any intelligent person knows that you can’t remove a person from office before they even take office (talk about stupid).

As far as the term “Loony” goes, it does not refer to lunatics. It has one of two connotations: 1) The odd bird call of the Loon, a waterfowl, is not noted for its intelligence. 2) Loony, as in the old movie filler “Loony Tunes” had nothing to do with lunatics, but only applied to goofy people, not unlike the Three Stooges, The Marx Brothers, etc.

As long as a majority of California voters support higher taxes, sanctuary cities, open borders, etc., I am going to call them Left-Wing Socialists (“Loons” for short).

As far as Idaho elections are concerned, Democrats can’t win important statewide elections if they are opposed by the Mormon Church.

In the past 40+ years, only Sen. Frank Church, Gov. Cecil Andrus and Gov. John Evans have won important statewide elections as Democrats.

Idaho is a conservative state. I love it.

North Idaho, while growing in population, can’t overcome the population of Mormon voters in metropolitan Boise and the Snake River Plain.

This area of Idaho is sometimes referred to as northern Utah.

Although I’m not a Mormon, I thank them for preserving traditional American values.
