Road closures for Hayden Lights Parade on Saturday

The city of Hayden will hold its annual Hayden Lights Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at McIntire Family Park, 8930 North Government Way on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The parade starts at 5 p.m. beginning at Hayden Avenue and will proceed south in the northbound lane of Government Way to Honeysuckle Avenue.

Government Way will be closed to traffic from approximately 4:55 to 5:45 p.m. from Hayden to Honeysuckle Avenue.

Roadways will be reopened to traffic once parade units have passed. For the best view of the parade, please stand along the east side of Government Way.

The public is invited to attend.

Free hot chocolate and cookies donated by Super 1 Foods as well as the Boy Scouts will be available and Thomas Hammer will be providing the coffee for the public at the McIntire Family Park gazebo beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will immediately follow the parade at McIntire Family Park.

Entertainment will include musical presentations by the Atlas and Hayden Meadows Elementary Special Choruses.

P1FCU is the main sponsor and will provide games and crafts while kids wait to see Santa.
