FEMINISM: One man's view

| November 25, 2018 12:00 AM

Lawyer Michael Avenatti claims “she hit me first” to justify his striking a woman. He’s right. If “she” had been “he,” we’d be talking about self defense, but women have somehow acquired the right to assault a man and then whip out the “ya can’t hit a girl” card. For many decades feminists have been shrieking about being treated like equals to men. Men should show their support and respect by doing exactly that — no special rights, no free punches. To do otherwise would be sexist and chauvinistic.

Of course there are different levels of womanhood, just as levels of manhood. Ladies are those women who retain their dignity and treat everyone with respect. Curiously, feminists today are typically referred to in general as ladies -- or “hos” or “b----es” which they somehow find acceptable. It sounds like the woman who attacked poor Mikee falls into that category. He owes her the respect to treat her as his equal, but noooo -- she’s suddenly a “lady” deserving of protection as the delicate flower she isn’t.

Ahhh, whatever happened to “I am woman, hear me roar,” “a woman can do anything a man can,” “women can be soldiers,” etc. Just sayin’....
