CAMERON: Got it backward

Regarding Steve Cameron’s piece in The Press on Friday, No. 16, on the subject of Mr. Acosta, the one who inappropriately lashed out at a female in a White House press conference while he refused to put down the microphone to give other reporters a chance to ask their questions.

Mr. Cameron, President Trump did NOT “arbitrarily” single out Mr. Acosta, but instead Mr. Acosta SINGLED OUT HIMSELF by his disregard of the decorum in a White House press conference. He should be ashamed of his disobedience to the rules of engagement in a press conference, his disrespect of the office of a president, his treatment of a female and as well as his disrespect toward his fellow reporters. And now Mr. Acosta has set a precedent that other reporters can do the same WITH NO CONSEQUENCES to themselves.

And by the way, Mr. Cameron, I think you got it backward when you stated, “…I suppose since Trump has used the media as his personal punching bag for his entire time in office.” This could better and more truthfully be stated, “The media has used President Trump as their personal punching bag his entire time in office.”
