Sharon L. Park, 80
Sharon L. Park, 80, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away while under the compassionate care of Hospice of North Idaho’s Schneidmiller House. She slipped away in her sleep under the beautiful full moon on Oct. 24, 2018, with her oldest son, Jeff by her side.
Sharon was born in Broken Bow, Neb., to Clayton and Alta Robinson on April 28, 1937. She attended school at Covina High School, where she met Jerry and fell in love. The two were married for 61 years until Jerry’s death in Aug. 2018.
Sharon and Jerry raised three boys, Jeffrey, Roger and David. The family moved to Upland, Calif., in the late ’70s, where Sharon worked at Ontario International Airport for many years in public relations. She created many cherished memories there, including the maiden flight on the Concord.
Sharon was a member of the 3Cs in Hayden Lake, Idaho. Travelers Aid and the Assistance League of Upland were among her favorite organizations to volunteer for.
In 1994 Sharon and Jerry retired to Hayden Lake, where they built their home. They both loved to entertain and cherished their gatherings with family and friends. In 2011, they moved to Garden Plaza in Post Falls.
Sharon is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Park; her son, Roger Park and her parents, Clayton and Alta Robinson.
Sharon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Lisa Park; grandsons, Tyler A. Park and Brendan C. Park (Murrieta, Calif.); her son, David and son-in-law, Michael Arnold (Cathedral City, Calif.); her daughter-in-law, Darcie Park and granddaughter, Rachel M. Park (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) and her sister-in-law, Sylvia Osborn (LaVerne, Calif.) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was loved by so many and will be dearly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2018, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 600 N. Gary Ave., Pomona, CA 91767. We will be celebrating both Sharon and Jerry Park and the great love that they had for each other.
The Park family would like to thank all of the health care professionals at Garden Plaza of Post Falls and Hospice of North Idaho. We are grateful for your dedication and compassion. The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of North Idaho to help them continue their important work.
