POEM: A holiday prayer

I pray for those alone this holiday season,

May God embrace their hearts when we alone cannot,

I pray You wipe away those tears they hide,

That are shed every year in their lonesome heart,

I yearn for love and joy to abound in them,

I pray You capture their lonesomeness,

For those without their loved ones this year,

Father God I pray You be with them this Thanksgiving and Christmas.
