Idaho Central Credit Union to build service center
The large building under construction at 1327 W. Appleway will be the North Idaho member service center and the Appleway branch of Idaho Central Credit Union. The 25,172-square-foot, multi-level facility is scheduled for completion in February 2020.
ICCU was organized as a state-chartered credit union in 1940 and has more than 1,100 employees serving more than 330,000 members with 36 locations in the state and more than $4 billion in assets.

Keller Williams Realty building on Schreiber
The 23,000-square-foot building under construction at 3931 Schreiber Way will be the new market center for Keller Williams Realty.
Real estate agents will move to the new place in March from Suite 301 at 1450 Northwest Blvd. Working to buy, sell and lease all types of properties, the place is owned by Coeur d’Alene Real Estate.

Idaho State Liquor
Store moving Jan. 15
A larger space and more accessible parking will be available as the Idaho State Liquor Store at 2611 Government Way moves across the street to 2640 Government Way in Coeur d’Alene Town Center on Jan. 15.
Open hours at the store are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Phone 208-769-1599. Check www.liquor.idaho.gov.
PayneWest Insurance moves downtown
Moving to a larger place for its 15 colleagues, PayneWest Insurance will open Wednesday in Suite 502 of Parkside Tower at 601 E. Front Ave. They’re leaving their location at 703 Lakeside Ave. (the old Coeur d’Alene library building).
The new 5,000-square-foot space reflects the company’s local growth and offers improved connectivity and bandwidth. Jeremy Vannatta is managing director.

- Payless Shoes will close at year’s end in Ironwood Square. Details soon. And inThreadz will move one space to the former Quizno’s place. Watch for Hu Hut Mongolian Grill in those locations (between Government Way and Lincoln Way off Ironwood Drive). A new place nearby will be CDA Hot Yoga.
- A “Coming Soon” sign for Precision Fitness is on the building in the northwest corner of Sherman and 15th.
- Bakery by The Lake at Parkside will have a second location in April.
- The Big Red Barn with animals and birds will be at 7397 Government Way.
- A&B Market will open as a convenience store at 402 Sherman in December.
- Dr. Dru Choker will have a veterinary clinic at 1336 W. Kathleen (across from Ramsey School).
- JTM Industries will move from Schreiber Way to 4905 Government Way.
- J.A. Bertsch Heating & Cooling will move from Hayden to 3645 Government Way. And Paragon Brewing will open its new building at 5785 Government Way at the end of the year.

- Hibachi Sushi is coming to 221 E. Sherman. We hear a German restaurant will be where Camera Corral left (for Northwest Boulevard) on Sherman.
- A new Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse is under construction where the Kynrede Cafe was at 8885 N. Government Way in Hayden.
- A new place downtown soon will be Live For Blu fine art at 505 E. Sherman.
- Staybridge Suites hotel is under construction in Riverstone.
- Today is my 50th Veterans Day. I was a journalist for the Coast Guard in San Francisco and Chicago from 1968 to 1972. It was an awakening experience for a tiny-town (Thompson Falls) Montana lad.
