'The Jungle Book' coming to Blanchard Community Center
BLANCHARD — Out of the Woods Family Theater will present an adaptation of “The Jungle Book,” Nov. 15, 16, 17 and 18 at Blanchard Community Center, 685 Rusho Road.
In this “wild” version of the story, Mowgli, Bagheera and Kaa are hard pressed to keep the secret of the ‘red flower’ from falling into the hands of the scheming Shere-Khan, who is determined to rule the jungle. The twist? Shere-Khan is a jungle psychologist who believes that every animal has a tiger within.
The cast includes nearly 50 children from Blanchard, Rathdrum, Spirit Lake, Athol and Priest River.
Show times are Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 17 and 18 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door: Adults/$5, youth/$3; family rates are available. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain.
Out of the Woods Family Theater is a program of the Blanchard Community Arts Program through Blanchard Area Seniors InCorporated (BASIC).
