Georgina (Brenno) King

“A Long Life Lived Well and True to Norwegian Heritage”

Born February 22, 1924, Annette Georgina (Georgie) Brenno, “The Queen Mum” passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 3, 2018, just 111 days before her 95th Birthday! Georgie was always amazed at her chronological age, in large part due to her inner zest of life and laughter. Belying her true age, Georgie was always game for an adventure as long as her hair was coiffed, she had a beautiful handbag and appropriate footwear.

Mother to five unique children, all instilled with a strong understanding of their Norwegian heritage, respectful of others and a willingness to help anyone in greater need, Georgie was rightfully proud of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elma Brenno; husbands, Arthur King, Maurice Walker and Floyd Larsen; her son, Ronald King; grandson, Paul-Michael Herman; son-in-law, Dennis Spurlock; son-in-law, Paul Clark; brother-in-law, Ed Servick; and nephew, Steven Servick. Georgie is survived by her loving sister, Karmen Servick; nieces, Susan (Cornell), Shelly (Jay); great-niece, Karmen Chenowith (Dylan); daughter, Lola Hagadone (Duane); grandson, Dennis Spurlock (Lynn); great-granddaughters, Riley and Madison; granddaughter, Paige Leifer (Steve); great-granddaughter, Morgan; great-grandson, Bo; grandson, Brad (Teresa); grandson, Todd; daughter, Teriann Herman (Michael); granddaughter, Ashleigh; daughter, Laurie (Clark) King; and daughter, Stephanie King; children of Ron King; granddaughter, Kristen Griffin (Jeff); great-grandsons, Zachery, Jared, Tristan, Noah; grandson, Jason King (Tara); great-granddaughters, Brittany, Mattie. Uff Da!

The entire family is profoundly appreciative of Georgie’s caregivers (especially Lisa, Kathy and Sherry) who diligently watched over her these past years and continually made sure that her home was always spotless and her attire was just right before any appointments or outings, with a proper handbag and shoes!

The family asks that remembrances be directed to a personal family charity, Memory Care Organizations or the Paul Allen Brain Institute. There will be a celebration of Georgie’s life in mid-2019.

Written and submitted by her favorite son-in-law of 48+ years and Norwegian by osmosis, ya sure ya betcha, “We all love you more, Georgie!”

Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements. Please visit Georgie’s online memorial and sign her guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
