Cardinals clinch berth in NWAC tournament

ONTARIO, Ore. — North Idaho College defeated Treasure Valley Community College 3-1 in Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball on Sunday in the Cardinals’ regular-season finale.

Set scores and other stats were not available.

The win clinched a berth in the NWAC Tournament for NIC (23-11, 11-5 NWAC), and eliminated Treasure Valley (18-15, 9-7) from postseason contention.

Blue Mountain (23-9, 10-5) can tie NIC for third place in the East Region with a victory over last-place Columbia Basin on Friday. Blue Mountain swept the Cardinals in league play.

The NWAC Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 14-18 in Tacoma.
