SHOOTINGS: Idea for deterrent

Instead of the liberal left always clamoring for gun control when a mass shooting occurs, why don’t they work with conservatives to stop the problem? Most mass shootings involve a mentally ill person with a gun. Even though the Federal Firearms Transaction Form 4473 asks if you are mentally ill, how many mentally ill people do you think will answer that question correctly? Most truly mentally ill people don’t recognize they are mentally ill and can fake normal behavior for short periods if time.

The answer lies in creating a federal law that requires all mental health providers to report mental illness to the ATFE and requires all individual sales or transfers of firearms to use the NICC System and make it available to the public without using an FFL Dealer for the transfer. This action would significantly reduce the number of mass shootings. If the liberal politicians in our country really were concerned with stopping this type of violence, they would support such a law.
