A 19-year-old woman reported missing on Thursday was found alive Saturday evening by Search and Rescue personnel, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Kathryn ‘Katie’ Ogle was last seen Thursday in the 6900 block of East Ohio Match Road, near North Rimrock Road. By Friday evening, KCSO reported there were more than 40 Kootenai County Search and Rescue members, K9 units and multiple aircraft looking for Ogle in an area north of Hayden Lake and southeast of Chilco Lake.

Ogle was known to have multiple medical alerts and the cognitive ability of a 10-12 year old, KCSO reported, and she was believed to not be wearing shoes.

However, with help from information provided by a resident, a searcher found Ogle at 4:55 p.m. Saturday in relatively good condition, KCSO reported. She was expected to be transported to Kootenai Health on Saturday night as a precautionary measure.

Further information about the search and rescue could be provided today after search crews are de-briefed, the sheriff’s office reported.
