HOWARD: For Congress

| November 3, 2018 1:32 AM

The time has come to stop counting on big government to fix our problems and focus on our own community needs, where the people are who know what their problems are and have better ideas to fix them. Libertarian principles want the removal of barriers to self-regulate, self-sponsor, self-discipline, and the removal of governmental anchors which are handicapping us in spirit and in our will to make OUR OWN communities livable.

No amount of “Free Government Money” or “Administrative Know-How” granted to us through any good natured endeavor can overcome the intuitive, brilliant solutions available to us by our own. I am voting Libertarian because I want the opportunity the founders of this country intended for us to have, which is to rule ourselves. Rule without the heavy-handed influence of bureaucrats in a distant land (Boise). Sure there are some decent laws on our books but the theme today is to create more laws.

Every law comes down to a have and a have-not, a legal and an illegal. Why are we allowing this to be done to ourselves? It is time to stop this dysfunctional madness and return to common sense. Is there still time to fix things? Of course there is plenty of time to either do nothing or to work on the solution.

I choose to work on the solution, which is freedom and liberty. That is why for Congress I am voting W. Scott Howard.
