Mitchell Conrad Payette, 24

Mitchell Conrad Payette, 24, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away on Oct. 29, 2018. He was born Feb. 22, 1994, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Karen Ramsey and Michael Payette.

Mitch loved being outdoors — skiing, running and making people laugh. With a mischievous glint in his eye and hearty laugh, he was always up for an epic adventure. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sharing favorite songs and quoting movies. He cared for people and animals alike, growing up with his trusty sidekick, Oreo, a Boston terrier.

Mitch graduated from Post Falls High School Class of 2012, before joining the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in the Marines for four years as a combat engineer and reaching the rank of corporal before being honorably discharged in June 2016.

He was proud to be from North Idaho and chose to return to Post Falls to rejoin civilian life. Rekindling old friendships and forming new ones, Mitch worked as a laborer by day and a bouncer on the weekends. He was also taking night classes to earn his EMT certification and looking forward to his new profession.

Mitchell loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his family, including his mother, Karen; father, Michael; sister, Jenna; brothers Grant, Clay, Robert, Mark and Kevin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Many loved him like a son or brother and will deeply miss him as well. Mitchell was preceded in death by his Grandma Eulah, Grandpa Wayne and Grandpa Bob.

Funeral services for Mitchell will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. in Post Falls.
