ADDIS: For state House

| November 3, 2018 1:25 AM

This Tuesday I’ll be voting for Jim Addis for State Representative in District 4 Seat A. I’ve known Jim personally for the past 20 years. During this time Jim has been active in our business community, helping provide hundreds of high paying jobs, quality healthcare, and prosperous futures for our citizens. Jim has also been active serving our community, supporting numerous non-profits. Jim’s combination of business experience and community service will serve us well in Boise.

While Jim’s business experience and community giving is well known, I’d like to share his leadership skills and competence. I served with Jim on the Idaho Automobile Dealers Association Board. This board represents over 100 franchised new vehicle dealerships statewide, small businesses that represent thousands of high-paying jobs, provides healthcare for thousands of Idaho families, collects roughly 20 percent of Idaho’s tax revenues, and is a cornerstone of Idaho’s economy.

Jim was elected President of the Association on two occasions-only the second time this has happened in 86 years. In each of his terms Jim led the association’s efforts, as a private citizen, to pass franchise legislation that protect Idaho small businesses and Idaho citizens from the unfair demands of out-of-state/foreign manufacturers. It is tough enough to get a single bill passed in our legislature, but Jim successfully led our efforts twice.

This leadership has allowed Idaho companies to better compete, add high-paying jobs, healthcare, and to support their communities. This combination of leadership and capability are what we need in Boise.

Please join me in voting for Jim Addis for State Representative in District 4, Seat A.
