VIOLENCE: Cut down districts

| March 14, 2018 1:00 AM

We would like to see well-trained people protect children in schools in this state from the maybe mentally ill killers with guns, etc. One way to pay for it is to cut the extremely excessive number of public school districts from 115 to no more than one public school district for the 44 counties in this state. Having 115 school districts appears to be extremely high and probably unnecessary for the 44 counties and a state population of 1.6 million, and extremely massive rip off of taxpayers of Idaho.

Also, cutting number of school districts to no more than one per county that might eliminate these phony tax levies all the time! We lived in Nevada for many years. That state has a 44 million population, 23 counties, less than 30 public school districts, no state income tax, no lottery, but we never saw school levies once. Call or write the Idaho Legislature if you’re tired of being ripped off by these many and varied school levies. Probably can be replaced by better managements.
