DAYLIGHT: Vick is right
I usually do not agree with some of Washington state’s ideas. But I do like their idea to eliminate daylight saving. I hope they can achieve that goal and that the 10 North Idaho counties follow suit, as Spokane and North Idaho are so intertwined.
I really liked reading about Sen. Vick’s proposal to do away with switching to and from daylight saving if Washington does so. I would like to have just one time, like Arizona has had for some time now.
I know that some churches adjust their hours to accommodate worshipers. So why can’t schools adjust their hours to accommodate students, so they will have daylight hours to travel to and from school? After all, there are roughly nine hours of daylight (7:30 to 4:30) on the shortest day of the year, Dec. 22. Also, any other business/group/whatever could switch their hours if they felt inclined to do so. Easy-Peasy.
