COLUMN: Promoting dishonesty

Wow! Front page in the Post Falls Press for Bill Brooks’ article on how to cheat the airlines for one’s own personal convenience at the expense of honest abiding citizens. What if every airline passenger who checked his bag requested a “fragile” sticker so his bag would be first in line at baggage check out as Bill suggests? The answer is obvious and it is so dishonest.

The same goes for the lame suggestion of using a wheelchair and pusher to gain advantage when you have no true medical need. Bill, you missed a lot more dishonest scams like using a friend’s medical sticker so you could park in the medical only parking stall so you don’t have to walk so far. If you can’t find a vacant medical-only parking stall, be sure to park straddling the line, thus taking up two parking stalls to avoid any dings on your vehicle.

And don’t forget the companion animal or service dog scam. Sorry, you are not “on my side” on this one.
