Ehlo, Kootenai Health win team event at Showcase
COEUR d’ALENE — Kootenai Health, led by former Washington State and NBA player Craig Ehlo, won the team competition Friday at The Showcase, a fundraiser for the Community Cancer Fund at The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course.
Ehlo and Kootenai Health teamed for a net 108, 34 under par, and good for a two-stroke victory over Team F3, headed by former NHL star Brenden Morrow.
The team competition consisted of one or two celebrities paired with three or four amateurs who are sponsors of the event. The scoring was two net best ball of the team.
In the individual competition, Morrow shot a 3-under 68 for a one-shot lead over Ray Whitney, a former Spokane Chief.
The individual competition consists of 27 holes. The final nine holes will be played today at the Resort Course, with tee times starting at 10 a.m. Tickets are $10, and must be purchased in advance at showcasegolf.com
