Bayley ties for 16th

at Pacific Coast Amateur

SAN FRANCISCO — Derek Bayley of Rathdrum shot a 1-under-par 70 on Friday and finished tied for 16th at the 72-hole Pacific Coast Amateur at The Olympic Club.

Bayley, formerly of Lakeland High and Washington State, shot 75-66-72-70—283, 1 under par. Isaiah Salinda, a rising senior at Stanford, shot a final-round 72 for a one-stroke victory. He shot 71-67-62-72—272, 12 under par.

Eric Ansett of Spokane tied for ninth, shooting 68-72-69-71—280, 4 under par.

Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake, who with Ansett played on the winning Washington team in the Morse Cup, conducted over the first two rounds, finished tied for 64th. He shot 73-80-70-74—297, 13 over par.
