Indians sweep away Tri-City

SPOKANE — Isaias Quiroz singled to score Jonah McReynolds with the go-ahead run with nobody out in the eighth inning as the Spokane Indians beat the Tri-City Dust Devils 5-3 in Northwest League baseball in front of 4,290 at Avista Stadium on Thursday.

Jax Biggers hit a sacrifice fly to score Hasuan Viera in the eighth for Spokane (19-22, 3-0 second half).

Spokane opened the scoring on an RBI single by Diosbel Arias to score Biggers in the first inning.

Tri-City (18-23, 0-3) led 3-1 through five innings before Spokane tied the game in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Starling Joseph.

Spokane opens a five-game series against Hillsboro at Avista Stadium starting tonight at 6:30.
