Hospice of North Idaho Charity Golf Tournament on Aug. 18

| July 26, 2018 1:00 AM

The Hayden Eagles will host the 17th annual Hospice Charity Golf Tournament on Aug. 18.

Open to the public, the event features a best-ball golf scramble followed by lunch and a live auction, with proceeds to benefit Hospice of North Idaho.

The tournament begins at Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course at 7 a.m. with tee-off beginning at 8 a.m. After the scramble, all teams and their guests will gather at the Hayden Eagles Club, 1520 W. Wyoming Ave. for best-game prizes, live auction, raffle and lunch.

An “extravagant” prize will be given for a hole-in-one, said a news release. Prizes include a new Buick Encore, Winnebago mini, a 20-foot tall flag pole with an American flag, paddle boards, or a bicycle.

Hayden Eagles members are working to gather donations for the live auction and raffle prizes and encourage tee sponsors to participate.

Entry fees are $65 for the public, and $42 for Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Club members. Carts can be rented for $16. Extra tickets for lunch and auction are $10. Raffle tickets are six for $5.

Hospice of North Idaho provides comfort care and grief support for all ages of patients in Shoshone, Kootenai and Benewah County, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay.
