Helen grew up in the southern Idaho area, in Caldwell, where she met Harold Walton Davenport, whom she married on August 19, 1949. Harold preceded Helen in death on March 10, 2004. They had been married 55 years. They adopted Craig Walton Davenport, whose birthmother, Joanne Iredale, was originally from Canada, on March 11, 1960. Helen enjoyed spending time with her two good friends from St. John’s Hospital in Libby: Marie Ackley and Lois Jungst. She had primarily been a housewife to Harold and a mother to Craig; most of her time in Caldwell and Libby.
